The New York State Big Buck Club hosts an Annual Awards Banquet recording exceptional New York whitetails and bears for future generations of New York Hunters to enjoy.
Every year since 1972 the NYS Big Buck Club has held their annual banquet to celebrate a new batch of big bucks and trophy bears that have made their way into the NY record books. Successful hunters from all over the state come to the event to display their mounts and recieve a certificate of membership into the Big Buck Club.
The banquet kicks off with a viewing of trophy heads at noon, followed by an award ceremony, a buffet dinner and a raffle. The hunters are called up one at a time by catagory to recieve their certificate during the awards presentation. Some hunters even take the time to be interviewed by the founder of the club, Bob Estes, and tell their success story to the crowd.
Each year the banquet hands out two very special paintings to the hunters with that years largest archery and gun whitetail.
Although the banquet is limited to measurers, and new record book entries & their guests only. The trophy display is open for public viewing before the ceremony. We encourage hunter's to come out each year to see the next generation of big bucks to enter the record books.
The NYSBBC Awards Banquet is held each year in September at Theodore's Restaurant in Canastota, NY
